Maya Jama has broken her silence after her ex Stormzy was spotted kissing his new famous flame.
The gorgeous Love Island host wasn’t feeling the love for the lousy weather as she swooped back onto social media following the buzz that Stormzy may be off the market.
The 30-year-old ITV host, who famously dated the grime artist, 31, on and off from 2014 until July, has been flying solo since their split three months ago. Now, it seems the ‘Vossi Bop’ star has found comfort in the arms of US songbird Victoria Monet.
Stormzy and his possible new lady love set tongues wagging at the end of the week when they were spotted locking lips at Heathrow Airport. Swift to make her online comeback amidst the gossip about her ex, Maya took to pampering herself as she underwent a beauty session.
Hitting up her Insta Stories on Saturday (October 12), the telly favourite popped a picture of herself luxuriating at a salon, indulging in her luscious locks. Despite her salon-fresh do, Maya was prepped for a bad hair day, given the typical British weather.
Posting a vid from the salon chair, Maya scribed: “and the rain falls as soon as the blow dry is done.” She also threw on a face mask while kicking back for more spa treats at the swanky Shane Cooper Clinic in South Kensington.
A source told The Sun: “Both Stormzy and Victoria looked absolutely smitten with each other. They kissed and when he hugged her he picked her up in the air. It seems like he is in a great place after his split from Maya.”
Maya and Stormzy shocked their followers this July when they announced their split. Their joint statement read: “We’ve been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we’d be the couple announcing a breakup.”
“But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that’s needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to.”
They were open about battling against their manic work diaries, trying to keep the flame alive, and reminisced about their young love, starting when he was just 21 and she was 20. They signed off: “We still think the absolute world of each other, we still care and respect each other, we are still grateful for the time we’ve had together, and we are still friends and will always be friends.”
