50 Cent had made it clear that he is not on good terms with Omari Hardwick , who was the lead actor of the rapper’s STARZ series, Power .During his recent visit to The Breakfast Club, 50 reflected on his fractured relationship with Hardwick, who had some words about the compensation he received on the hit TV series and how 50 allegedly didn’t try to fix the situation.

When asked if the two were on good terms, According to 50, Hardwick “overvalues” himself and puts himself in positions where people aren’t really checking for him, which shouldn’t have happened given how popular he was on Power.

“I think [Omari] overvalues himself, to be honest with you. Since then, it’s been a long time since he hasn’t been in Power. Why are we not excited about the new project,” said 50. “If there was noise going on and he was that big of a draw, then we would see the noise and the new things happening. We see you out where you’re actively in a place where people are looking for you.”

He added, “He leaves it like it’s me not giving you the money. If he sitting there and he going ‘Courtney and 50 know,’ you saying that, they don’t know who the fuck Courtney is, I introduce people to her. They don’t know who she is, so you leaving it as ’50 didn’t make sure I got paid.’ Mary [J. Blige] will tell you, she got paid a lot of money on the show while she was there the whole time. I made sure that she was right.”

Hardwick has been very vocal with his time in the Power Universe. In 2022, during a conversation on The Pivot podcast, the actor claimed he made $150,000 per episode , which he believed wasn’t enough for someone who was “the face” of STARZ. He also added that 50 had to lend him some money to make ends meet despite knowing he was allegedly being shorted out on money.

“I still haven’t made what I should have made. I still never made the money—no, the money, I never made what I should have made. Never,” Hardwick shared. “Period. It’s happening now, finally.”
